Hey y'all.
When we put the Cricket Feet Showcase on hiatus, the
wonderful actors who had experienced Self-Management for
Actors in the Park sessions as a part of
that process started asking for tune-up
consultations. In November of 2008, we invited
showcase alumni only to join in a weekly gathering
of what we started calling "Class Rules!" (for no
other reason than I was looking at the short list of
Class Rules and thought, "That's fun. Because class
does, indeed, rule"). Word got out, Class Rules!-ers
started referring in friends, and we refined the
content of our weekly sessions into the five-week
cycle we're now offering more publicly.
As we continued to teach our weekly classes, we
never advertised. It has been all word-of-mouth and
referral, and hundreds of actors, producers, casting
directors, agent trainees, publicists, coaches,
directors, managers, and writers, have all
experienced the tier-jumps associated with the SMFA principles
in Los Angeles. Thousands more have attended SMFA seminars
with me in cities around the world.
I am LOVING getting to travel and bring these SMFA principles
to actors everywhere. Seeing creatives worldwide
benefit from SMFA
is just a phenomenal experience. Huge thank you to
SAG Foundation for hosting free events in many
cities. These free 90-minute sessions are packed
with Q&A about the business of pursuing a
creative career!
