| After having been in LA for a little over a year, Bonnie's SMFA seminar
was a well of information and support. She answered the kinds of
questions I would have never had the chance to ask any other casting
director. She is straightforward and keeps it fun. Her
amazing spirit and enthusiasm is infectious, and set up a great energy
for our group. Because of her seminar, I am now part of a wonderful
community of actors with a likemind and determination. -- Shelley Dennis |
| Bonnie's seminars keep you focused
and positive. A pointed, pragmatic business approach to a
business that often isn't. And a heck of a lot of fun too! -- David
Nathan Schwartz |
| The environment that Bonnie has created with these Self-Management for Actors seminars
is one of total safety, support, and most importantly inspiration.
Bonnie is one of the few industry professionals I know that backs up
her word with action--always--and inspires everyone she comes into
contact with to do the same. She is a gift, giving gifts wherever she
goes. -- Kalimba Bennett |
| Confidence... Bonnie Gillespie makes you work for it, but when you walk away from the SMFA
seminar, you have all the tools to be the same kind of power-house,
self-producing ninja she is... and that's some killer ninja confidence
I didn't have before Bonnie Gillespie! -- Allie Smith |
| Bonnie's
Self-Management
for Actors course has really been life-changing for me.
It's so easy living in Los Angeles to slip into a pattern where the
days and weeks fly by yet your career stays in the same place. Bonnie
provides expert knowledge, tools, and advice on how to move your career
forward every single day, and how to be accountable to yourself for
your own success--hence, self-management. Whereas before I was
overwhelmed and almost at a loss of how to begin getting marketing
myself, I now have a clear understanding of my type, how to pitch
myself, how I can contribute to the industry, and how to move forward
with building a team of agents/managers. Her advice is indispensable;
thank you, Bonnie! -- Rebecca Norris |

| The
Self-Management
for Actors
seminar helped me to understand who I am in the eyes of the person
behind the desk. How they will see me, what type I am, and what
are the best shows to target. It saves time and energy to focus on
where you have the best shot at being employed. On a personal level,
Bonnie is kind, open-hearted, and wanting your success as much as you
do. She is "in it" for every actor to "win it." Every one of us in the
seminar is her "favorite!" -- April Audia |
| Just being a good actor isn't enough to be successful in this business. Because like it or not, this is a business.
You must learn to self-manage your career. Bonnie gives you practical
tools that you can begin to implement right away to help you do just
that. You'll get straight talk, no BS, but in a very loving, supporting
environment with great people who want to be "co-conspirators in your
success." But most of all, you'll get results. Bonnie has my highest
recommendation! -- William Christopher Ford |
| Bonnie
Gillespie is of the most supportive friends of actors in this world. I
have learned so much more from her than I ever thought was possible,
and I continue to learn from her. Every. Day. Bonnie openly and
honestly shares with actors on how we can be better actors and take
control of our careers. She is an inspiration in how we can be better
in all aspects of our lives and careers. Without Bonnie, her book, and
her guidance, my life and career would be less. I'm convinced of that.
I have been so lucky to have those in my life who have lifted me and
pushed me to be at my best. Among my others, she is one of "mi los
angeles," my angel. -- Sarah Logan |

Gillespie is an amazing person in this business and anyone who has the
opportunity to work with or be taught by her should do it and would be
better for it. I graduated just a year and a half ago from an awesome
conservatory, and knew about the craft of acting and nothing about the
business. After reading Self-Management for Actors,
I became so much more confident and knowledgeable about this crazy but
awesome journey I'm on. And after having the privilege of the Self-Management for Actors
seminar, I've literally been transformed into an amazing professional
actor, after just a year and half on this journey! Almost every
opportunity I've been fortunate enough to have, I can trace right back
to the awesomeness of this
seminar. I've defined my primary and secondary casting types and clear
targeting. Most importantly, I have so much more confidence that is
present with me in auditions and every meeting. I can pitch myself in
those meetings with clarity, knowing exactly what I bring to the table.
I love Self-Management for Actors and Bonnie Gillespie! -- Regina Virk |
| In
the Self-Management for
Actors seminar, Bonnie creates a supportive, inspiring
atmosphere for actors to work on material while sharing ideas, goals,
and information. Her insight is invaluable to any actor who is serious
about their craft and career. Bonnie is an absolute treasure and I can
only imagine how wonderful future events will be! -- Julie

| Bonnie doesn't sugarcoat which is great because in the biz no one else will either, so you're prepped. My favorite part of the Self-Management for Actors seminar
is targeting shows off IMDb and pitch clinic where you learn to work
the room and say in one minute what others say in ten. Actors love to
talk and often need to be wrangled in. This seminar teaches you to be
more self aware of who you are and not who you want to be so you can
play to your strengths. You don't wanna bring a knife to a gun fight. I
don't even know what that means. -- Beau Wilson
