Thank you so much for your interest in Bonnie Gillespie's Self-Management
for Actors five-week seminars in Los
Angeles!
|
| The Self-Management for Actors seminars
were built from a foundation of decades of industry
experience (from both sides of the casting desk); an
essential book (now in its third, top-selling
edition); seven production cycles of Self-Management for
Actors in the Park for the casts of the
Cricket Feet Showcase; and nearly a decade of Self-Management for
Actors retreats, seminars, and weekly
classes conducted with an exclusive group of working
actors whose time together made it very clear that
there is great power in collaborating,
co-conspiring, and building a community of support
around well-researched and focused efforts. |
| The Self-Management
for
Actors seminars are the natural
evolution of this work, and our weekly classes are
now offered on Wednesday
evenings, in five-week cycles. Carefully-screened
actors who are ready
to work at a tier above--taking the business side of
their careers into their own hands in a powerful
manner--come together to focus and hone their
awesomeosity. [For those who have been invited,
there's an exclusive Advanced Self-Management for Actors
seminar meeting weekly on Thursdays, as well. Need specifics?

Note
from Bon:
Hey y'all.
When we put the Cricket Feet Showcase on hiatus, the
wonderful actors who had experienced Self-Management for
Actors in the Park sessions as a part of
that process started asking for tune-up
consultations. In November of 2008, we invited
showcase alumni only to join in a weekly gathering
of what we started calling "Class Rules!" (for no
other reason than I was looking at the short list of
Class Rules and thought, "That's fun. Because class
does, indeed, rule"). Word got out, Class Rules!-ers
started referring in friends, and we refined the
content of our weekly sessions into the five-week
cycle we're now offering more publicly.
We have never advertised. It has been all
word-of-mouth and referral. Because hundreds of
actors, producers, casting directors, agent
trainees, publicists, coaches, directors, managers,
and writers have taken class since we first started
up, we decided to set up this website as a place to
point people who want to know more about what we're
doing on Wednesday
evenings. We're still not doing any advertising, so
thanks for
finding your way here. Now that you've found us,
poke around, get on our mailing list if you want to
receive emails about open slots in future cycles of
Class Rules!, and whether it's a good fit or not, keep rockin'!
We look forward to working with you!
For those of you Class Rules! alumni who would like
to know more about our invitation-only Advanced
Self-Management for Actors sessions on Thursday nights
or our Ninja
Maintenance Program, please make contact to get
started; it's a different format from what we do in
our five-week Wednesday cycle, designed to elevate
rockstars to yet another tier. Thanks!
Cheers,
-Bon.
